Lochness monster coming out of the drain!!!!

So today I thought I’d introduce 5 apps I have in my Photo Tools folder …
(I am not sure if I have mentioned that I have 80+ apps to cover in 30 days, so some days there will be a bonus edition!)
There are 2 light metres. The ‘Pocket Light Metre’ is in the first slot. One can get rid of the ads by either paying $5.49 (and thereby giving the developer a beer) or 99c. Either way, its a good idea – the ads can be annoying!Lots of flexibility and easy spin wheels to manage Time, Aperture and ISO. Simple!
The second light metre (by Horace Ho) requires one to select which function is to be altered and then use a slider to increase and decrease it. Not as simple to manage in my opinion, but, perfectly adequate for a free app. Again there is the option to get rid of the ads (99c or $3.99 with developer gift).
The third app is technically also a camera – it is a Self timer app. Defaults to 10 second delay, but is adjustable. Not ever found a use for delayed self shots (camera can be reversed) but I can see a purpose for the timer on the front camera.
Holga Clicks is a diamond of an app. If you have a bent for plastic cameras and experimentation, this is a great little tool. I loaded by Holga (jerry rigged it really) with 35mm film. Carefully taped up the film number view finder and then went ‘duh’ how do I know how many turns to make to advance the film successfully?? The app offers Holga and Diana options, mask sizes and then provides clicks, fractions or decimals. I love the clicks with my Holga – it has been spot on every time!!
The last app to check out today is ‘Posing App’. Another gem. It provides posing guides for photographers and models – for children, women, men, couples, groups, weddings and glamour shots. Clear line drawings help photographer and model to get started and feel confident that they’ll have some great angles for openers.
That’s it for today, enjoy these apps and hopefully I will see you tomorrow!!
Thanks for coming over!

So welcome to the first AppsApril app, Instagram. An obvious place to start I know, but I did wonder if people knew about all the extra Insta..apps that are available.
Here’s a screen shot of my Instagram folder …
I have used Instagram extensively at times – KarenClicks is my tag if you’re interested.
Last year at the Australian Primary Principals Association national conference Master School Portraits ran an Instagram competition for the best ‘essence of conference’ image.
I won an iPad with this one …
Pretty chuffed I was!!!! Leaders outside the Melbourne Convention Centre, enjoying the sunshine.
I enjoyed this one ‘Networking’ too …
Anyway – back to Instagram – there are various collage and frames apps. Here’s an example of using the Collage app …
It comes with a range of shapes, frames and options.
A new addition to my Instagram family is the Travelgram app. This one tags images in locations and allows you to collect and group images around different locations, ideal for travelling obviously!! I plan to give it a go on my next vacations – Normanville, Banrock Station, Sydney to see the Dalai Lama and of course my 2 year posting to the British International School in Phuket!!
The last news for today is that there is also a My Followers app that tracks activity on Instagram. It will tell you who is following you, who you are following, what the reciprocal relationships are, if anyone has blocked you, who your fans are and who comments the most. Interesting data process. Bit like being able to check out your stats in FaceBook!
That’s it for today, enjoy Instagram and hopefully I’ll see you tomorrow!! Thanks for coming over!!
