Sprocket Rocket took a few trips out this week – to the beautiful Veale Gardens, to the Adelaide Crows football game and to the Adelaide Markets where i did extended exposures as people walked through my frames (looking for ghosts!)

Week 21 #project52 Doubles at the Footy
Last weekend I took the Holga to the football (Australian Rules for international readers). I played with a range of double exposures – crowd and oval, oval from different angles, people and props … Photography fun!! The Adelaide Crow’s won!! Fun!!
AppsApril#25 Fisheye
Another Fisheye app today – and ‘Mmmmm’!! The interface is not at all intuitive, I kept finding myself where I didn’t expect to be. Given that I am looking at a new app every day, you’d think I’d be finding it pretty easy now! One can drag the image inside the fisheye effect, for different… Continue reading AppsApril#25 Fisheye
Banrock Wetlands and journey home
Today we walked the 8km track around the Banrock Station wetlands. Banrock makes lovely wines, and even more importantly, contributed to the ecology of the River Murray through the management of a magnificent wetland. Just a few of the highlights from the day … the walk and the drive home through the ‘golden hour’.
Murray Exploration
Yesterday my friend and I joined a Loch Luna cruise on the River Murray at Kingston-on-Murray with Carl. Despite grey skies, I am pleased with a number of the images captured during this 3 hour exploration of the river.
Week 20 #project52 Double again
Another trip out double exposing with my Holga. I know I am a little repetitive at the moment – at least I go to different settings each time – but I am part of a group putting up a plastic camera exhibition, and I want to nails some excellent ones before I go to Thailand… Continue reading Week 20 #project52 Double again
Week 19 #project52 Holga Double Exposures
Took my Holgas to Jetty Road, Brighton for more double exposing fun!! I found a photographer with a gorgeous girl in a beautiful gown on the beach! Played with the Arch of Remembrance and doubled up the jetty and eateries along the way.
AppsApril#23 Panorama
Yesterday, at the Crows game (which we won!!), I played with the iPhone 5 panorama function and the Panorama (TM) app. Here’s the iPhone 5 effort – pretty extensive as you’ll see … Here’s Panorama (TM) in action … Unfortunately you’ll have to click on the icons to see the images – I can’t… Continue reading AppsApril#23 Panorama
AppsApril#22 Reflex
Claiming a twin lens effect, that I am not sure is so special, this is another app that I thought lacked a twist or unique selling point. The original app purchase only provides some film effect options (That are very nice ….) All other filters are 99c a set or $5.49 the lot. Like many… Continue reading AppsApril#22 Reflex
AppsApril#21 iColorama S
iColorama S is another app with a wonderful array of editing options. My sister’s dog and my creatures are the subject matter for today’s review. iColorama S has a simple to use interface … Each option opens a range of choices … I enjoyed this app, but am not convinced that it is unique enough… Continue reading AppsApril#21 iColorama S
