    All photographers know the importance of light. Glorious sunrise or sunset light, the golden hour is our ideal time to be out with our cameras. During my recent trip to Kangaroo Island I chased 4 sunrises and 5 sunsets – with minimal access to that magic light.  Luck wasn’t with me and dull, flat, grey light was the theme for most days. Managed to capture a little though and these 18 images are the best examples.

    Phuket’s Vegetarian Festival again

    Seems that the Phuket Vegetarian Festival piercings are becoming weirder and weirder each year. It was a pleasant surprise to see more of the spiritual side today – not sure if I was off the main route or not. I stood next to a gorgeous old lady who joyfully received blessings from a passing parade of trance-like god carriers (not all pierced). She bubbled over with joy and shared some with me. The local businesses were being blessed too.  Quite a party atmosphere.
