Once again I was drawn to the interesting abstract shapes in and around Port Adelaide. There is something special about creating a picture that cannot be identified, or is at least obscure or a different view of something to that usually seen! Wandering the Port
Port Adelaide is on of the first colonised areas in South Australia. As such it presents with a number of old buildings and historic (well relative in colonisation terms ‘historic’) sites. Great photo ops!!
Autumn Blooms
Gorgeous autumn day in Adelaide – captured some late blooms!!
Going Abstract in Woomera!
Sunrise Friday morning gave me an opportunity to hunt for abstract images and shapes in glorious warm light. Woomera presents with interesting opportunities!
In and around Woomera
485km from Adelaide, Woomera is an interesting country town. Having been an American rocket launch base, it has interesting traditions and fascinating images. Thursday night dusk and Friday morning sunrise presented beautiful light and interesting opportunities.

Morning light on the sand
After the beautiful morning light on Largs Bay Beach I headed off for a walk. On the way back the sun broke through the clouds and lit the rippled sand quite impressively.
Beach reflections
The morning light on Largs Beach was SO special – the water was still and the low tide left perfect puddles for cloud reflections – photographer’s bliss!!
Jetties
An absolutely spectacular morning on Largs Bay beach yesterday!! The sunrise brought amazing light, rainbows and tones one wishes for every early morning start!! These jetties – Largs Bay and Semaphore – were bathed in beautiful light – completely untouched images!
Magnifying my photos!!!!
Saw this idea in my browsing of photographic sites and images … Love the way the magnifying glass can enlarge an image, catch a reflection or just change the tones and sharpness. Easier with a buddy this is something one can do alone .. as I have here.
