Assessment Images for Concepts class

Just completed the Centre for Creative Photography ‘Photographic Concepts’ course – brilliant!!  These are my assessment images with artist statement …   seeing   we all see we all look   do we all see the same things? in the same way?   interesting changes occur as one learns to see the world through a camera endlessly chasing a new angle or image or idea learning principles of art and design and perspective and more have changed the way i see the world   no more obvious is this change than in travel hoards of tourists face the iconic camera or phone or iPad aimed and capturing the place and space while this photographer obsessed by the abstract is caught at a fence post gazing at overhead lanterns capturing a patterned window dressing peering at split timber against a wall watching light dance and seeing something others barely notice   this series represents 12 moments captured in special australian and asian places 12 moments where my photographer’s eye saw something others did not 12 moments where the main focus was less relevant than the colour or light or angle or aspect or object i framed
