Seems that the Phuket Vegetarian Festival piercings are becoming weirder and weirder each year.
It was a pleasant surprise to see more of the spiritual side today - not sure if I was off the main route or not.
I stood next to a gorgeous old lady who joyfully received blessings from a passing parade of trance-like god carriers (not all pierced). She bubbled over with joy and shared some with me.
The local businesses were being blessed too. Quite a party atmosphere.
